Increase in Washoe County’s Real Property Transfer Tax

In order to provide the Washoe County School District with its needed funding, Nevada Legislature is considering increasing the Real Property Transfer Tax. This tax is volatile and susceptible to current market trends and can’t guarantee a sufficient amount of tax revenue to meet the district’s needs. Another source should be considered.
