Why Companies Relocate to Nevada

Many companies are fleeing from California in order to escape the high cost of doing business there. Whereas Nevada’s business-friendly climate, conducive regulations, and unparalleled recreation and quality of life have been attracting businesses. In fact, Nevada has been seeing this influx of companies for several decades now, but it really didn’t start gaining national media attention until 2003 as a great place to do business.

This increased attention can be related to several different factors, including bold new marketing campaigns developed by EDAWN, a coalition of Nevada economic development organizations. The coalition has generated countless marketing campaigns that have bolstered attention, and has drawn business into Nevada in droves.

Their recent campaign, “Missing,” was somewhat of a spoof on several Californian icons that included the California Grizzly Bear, the happy California cows and the Golden Gate Bridge which all came up missing. In the campaign, it turns out all of these icons were driven out by the high cost of doing business in California, and were found thriving in Nevada’s business climate.
